A collaborative jazz concept album by Grammy nominated jazz pianist Lars Potteiger and internationally acclaimed touring singer and multi-instrumentalist Erik Potteiger, the content of this album was recorded in one session in its entirety, showcasing the organic musical chemistry between the two brothers and the natural spontaneity of their musical improvisations.

"When October Wandered By" connects classic jazz standards with some new twists in combination with piano improvisations to tell a story about the self, the journey from season to season, the process in walking one's own path, the people that enter and leave that path (be it friends/family/lovers), and the cycles of life that inevitably emotionally connect us all together. Each improvised track alludes to one of the five stages of grief and connects the evolving moods and lyrics from the songs before and after to take us through a journey we've all experienced in some shape or form before.
